DESKTOP vs CLOUD SOFTWARE

How do I choose?

The DESKTOP version is our classic software that runs on your personal computer.  It can be networked with other personal computers at the same location.  It shares data with our web-based appointment software so that you can view (not change) appointments on your Smart phone, tablet or any personal computer and customers can also book appointments.  It prints to a receipt printer.  All of the data is stored on one of the personal computers, called a file server.  You can remotely access the DESKTOP version using software that shares your salon computer with your home computer, but not with ANY DEVICE, because it is DESKTOP based.  There is no monthly fee for the DESKTOP version.  You must backup the data from personal computer (file server) to a flash drive or backup device because if that computer fails, you will need to recover that data to get back up and running. 

The CLOUD version allows you to access our software from ANY DEVICE including iPhone, iPad, Droid, Tablet, Personal Computer, Apple Computer, etc.  You have FULL functionality and you can manage appointments from any of those devices.  The CLOUD version also allows you to email receipts (the DESKTOP version does not).  Because the CLOUD version stores your data securely in the CLOUD, there is no reason to backup your data.  We are taking care of that for you. If your computer crashes, no big deal.  You just access our software on the web and connect back up to your data in seconds SECURELY from ANY DEVICE at ANYTIME from ANYWHERE.  You can also print to a wireless printer from ANY of those devices as well.  There is a monthly data hosting fee for the CLOUD version that we must pay, which in turn, is billed to you, and is based on the number of employees (the more employees, the more data we must host).

You will choose either the DESKTOP or the CLOUD, but not both.
